This A-share tracker FAQ covers the most common stock tracking questions we receive. Where is my data stored?
All your holdings, trades, dividends and notes are stored 100% locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing is uploaded to any server. You can export a JSON backup at any time.
Do I need to create an account?
No. This is a free A-share portfolio tracker with no signup. Open the app and start logging trades.
Which stock markets are supported?
5000+ A-shares across Shanghai (SH), Shenzhen (SZ) and Beijing (BJ) exchanges, including mainboard, STAR Market, ChiNext and BEI stocks.
Is the quote data real-time?
Yes. We pull live A-share quotes from public sources with a fallback chain. Quotes refresh every 10 seconds in the app.
How do I migrate from another tool?
Use the Import/Export panel in the app. We support JSON imports. CSV import is on the roadmap.
Can I use this on mobile?
Yes. Install as a PWA on iOS, Android or desktop. It works offline and looks like a native app.
How is the cost basis calculated?
We support three cost methods: weighted average, FIFO (first-in-first-out), and LIFO (last-in-first-out). Switch anytime from the settings panel.
Can I track dividends?
Yes. Add dividend entries with the per-share amount, ex-date, and shares held. We compute your total return including dividends.
What about taxes and fees?
You can record fees and taxes on each transaction. The cost basis and P&L calculations factor them in.
Is there a watchlist feature?
Yes. Add stocks to your watchlist without logging a buy. Get real-time prices and optional price alerts.
